Wasn’t Gaza (Azza) a desert like this before the arrival of some Jewish pioneers who made it into a prosperous development, only to be expelled some 30 years later by the PM of Israel.
Rav Abba in (Sanhedrin ) says, that the clearest sign of the
geulah are the crops of Eretz Yisrael growing once again. This after 2 millennia of desolate starkness in a land which yielded nothing to any and all conquerers.
