Republican Donald Trump is accusing Hillary Clinton of bribing Attorney General Loretta Lynch following a report that said Clinton would consider keeping Lynch if she’s elected president.
“It’s a bribe!” Trump declared at a rally in Raleigh, North Carolina, Tuesday, hours after the FBI said it wouldn’t recommend charges against Clinton over her use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.
Trump was referring to a story in The New York Times that quoted “Democrats close to” Clinton saying she may decide to rehire Lynch.
Trump says Lynch may have believed that, if she let Clinton off the hook, she’d have four more years on the job.
Trump says, “It’s a disgrace, it’s a disgrace!”

After his non-stop barrage of racist, xenophobic and simply mindless “tweets”, does anyone still bother to take seriously what he says?? The most senior and respected leaders of his own party simply roll their eyes and run away from reporters when asked to comment on his latest dumb posting. I’m not a big Hillary fan but at least she is smart, albeit sometimes lacking in candor.
In light of last week’s Supreme Court case pertaining to a former governor of Virginia, it is unlikely that what Clinton offered was a “bribe.” We are going back to the traditional standard by which a “bribe” had to be something specific in return for a “quid pro quo” (something, for something). Merely helping one’s career in return for loyalty is legal (unethical perhaps, but not illegal).
Trump’s “stream of consciousness” style of communications is not uncommon, is entertaining, and is totally unpresidential (as heretofore defined). It might take some getting used to. On the other hand, Hillary is what everyone is totally used to, and totally fed up with.
No…Hillary is not “smart” at all. Just ask FBI Director Corney. Neither is Bill…otherwise who would do a stupid thing like meeting with Lynch for “30 minutes” last week. 30 minutes is a long time. Just passing through and greeting someone should take no more than 10 minutes. In 30 minutes one can discuss something substantive…AND THEY DID!!! Sure if Bill said Hillary was “thinking” of considering Lynch for 4 more years, that would make ALL THE DIFFERENCE in the world. Stop fooling yourself. Trump may talk to much, but Hillary is totally dishonest and is not too smart about it. General Petraeus had to resign in disgrace for much. much less.
