The trial of IDF soldier Sgt. Elor Azariya continues in the Yafeh Military Court. Azariya is facing manslaughter charges for verifying the kill, shooting a wounded Arab terrorist who was on the ground after the latter stabbed and wounded an IDF soldier in Hebron on Purim.
The soldier fired at and wounded the terrorist. Hence, the military prosecutor maintains Elor had no right to fire at him and kill him since the threat had already been neutralized.
The high-profile case has many citizens angered, with a growing public sentiment the soldier should receive a citation for his actions but instead, he is on trial for manslaughter.
As the trial moves ahead another support rally was held on Tuesday, 29 Sivan outside the courthouse. The woman can be heard making reference of the recent two fatal terror attacks, in Hebron and near Otniel and the need “to shoot terrorists in the head” and change state policy once and for all.
