The IDF Homefront Command has announced it is conducting emergency siren tests in Beit Shemesh and the Matte Yehuda areas on Wednesday, 1 Rosh Chodesh Tammuz.

The tests will begin at 10:15AM in Beit Shemesh, Abu gosh, Kiryat Yearim, Har Hadar, Mevasseret Tzion, Telem, and all Matte Yehuda Regional Council communities.

If chas v’sholom there is a real emergency, an additional siren will sound following the test. In addition to sirens, the system may also test breaking into a regular radio broadcast with an emergency message on Radio Yerushalayim and there will be simultaneous testing for hearing impaired individuals in the areas mentioned via the Homefront Command phone app.
