The photos show a mezuzah was removed from a doorpost during Muslim prayers in the Meoras HaMachpelah in Hebron on erev Shabbos. The mezuzah was in place before the Muslim prayers and was detected missing when Muslim prayers ended.

In Munich before the war some Nazi y”s blackshirts removed a mezuzah. Shortly afterwards they were involved in a deadly crash. The mezuzah was replaced by an exquisite silver mezuzah case (don’t know if it contained anything – it must have been stolen).
i was there thi week shabbos and i was woundering where the mezuza was.
wonder if one may put it back
