Two children of a Bedouin community near Chura were pronounced dead on Wednesday afternoon 16 Sivan after resuscitation efforts failed. The children, 1 and 2-years-old, were left in a parked vehicle on an unseasonably hot day in the Negev region.
United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom EMTs and paramedics arrived on the scene. United Hatzalah EMT Haag Hassan Inad explained when he arrived the two children were in cardiac arrest. They had been forgotten in the vehicle near their home. “Unfortunately, we had no alternative but to pronounce them dead.”
The children were left alone in the closed vehicle for a number of hours. Police are probing the incident.
A southern police spokesman adds the two children were brothers left in the vehicle by their father when he parked near the school. CPR was attempted, albeit without success.
In the video we see MDA paramedic Georgi Yishaivitz telling about the call.
