A 15-year-old resident of Yishuv Yitzhar was the recipient of an administrative order distancing him from his family home a number of weeks ago. The youth is banned from all of Yehuda and Shomron, ordered to remain in the home of his grandparents in Petach Tikvah. The administrative order was signed by the IDF Center District Commander.
After learning this arrangement was not doable, the child was permitted to remain in Yishuv Yitzhar and a hearing was held between the youth and IDF officials. The Honenu attorney representing the youth explained to IDF officials he simply has nowhere to go. Attorney Chai Haber explained it is almost impossible to find someone to accommodate the youth under house arrest because of the rigid enforcement by police. Police visit the home nightly and knock on the door to determine the youth is present. They often awaken the family and neighbors.
Amid the realization the youth does not have anywhere to go, he was informed that he must nevertheless leave Yitzhar and Yehuda and Shomron by Monday morning 14 Sivan at 9:00AM.
His parents responded, saying “Our son has nowhere to go. His family lives here. You cannot simply come and present him with a piece of paper and instruct him to leave home. The consequences of banishing a minor are intolerable. Who will assume responsibility? Who will look after the child? The major-general sleeps well with his children in his home and our son is being thrown to the streets. We cannot accept this”.

What did he do wrong???
Insane orders!
How can a minor be held culpable, or penalized with exile by the government?? This is barbaric.
Great report. It gives no information for why the kid is being thrown out of his home, but the report does not affirmatively state that there is no basis for the order, only that it causes a hardship. That’s part of what an expulsion order should probably do. Does he have any relatives living outside the Yehuda/Shomron? And why can his parents not move with him?
