HaGaon HaRav Shalom Cohen Shlita, head of the Shas Moetzas Gedolei Yisrael has instructed the party’s elected officials to continue their tenacious battle against those “seeking to harm our tzibur”.

Minister of Religious Services David Azoulai and Deputy Finance Minister Yitzchak Cohen met with Rav Cohen in Jerusalem’s Old City, receiving a chizuk to continue their efforts on behalf of the Sephardi tzibur in Israel.

Rav Cohen sent a letter to Shas officials in Knesset in which he speaks of those seeking to harm the Sephardim, thanking party leader Aryeh Deri for his mesirus nefesh along with other party leaders to bring back the glory of Sephardi Jewry.
