Police are seeking three suspects in connection with an attack last week on a Muslim man outside a Queens mosque.

The NYPD says the incident is being investigated as a possible bias assault.

The head of an advocacy group tells the New York Post that Mohamed Rasheed Khan is having trouble speaking because of broken bones in his face. He was scheduled for surgery on Monday.

Afaf Nasher of New York’s Council on American-Islamic Relations says Khan was wearing religious attire during the attack Wednesday night outside the Center for Islamic Studies.

Khan is an American citizen of Guyanese descent.
