Newly-appointed Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman has approved IDF Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) recommendations to reduce restrictions on residents of PA (Palestinian Authority) autonomous areas as well as Gaza.
During the month of Ramadan, a number of steps are going to be taken to ease restrictions, including but not limited to;
1. Permitting residents of PA areas in Yehuda and Shomron to visit relatives in Israel.
2. Permitting residents of PA autonomous areas to visit Har Habayis on Fridays.
3. Permitting residents of PA autonomous areas to visit first degree relatives in Gaza.
4. Permitting Gazans to visit Har Habayis on Fridays.
The visits are permitted with prior arrangements for persons who meet security clearance.
