MDA Announces Caller May Track Arriving Ambulance Via GPS

mdaMagen David Adom announces a new service that began June 1, 2016, permitting a caller to track the ambulance assigned to the call via GPS technology.

MDA explains that the moment a call is received by a dispatch center; a text message will be sent by the dispatch computer system to the caller’s mobile phone containing a hyperlink. Clicking on that link will connect one with a map that tacks the location of the assigned ambulance.

MDA Chief of Operations Eli Bin explains this is another step towards operating with total transparency and using technology to improve service.
