Shortly after taking the oath of office as Israel’s Minister of Defense, Avigdor Lieberman submitted his resignation from Knesset to permit the next person on the Yisrael Beitenu party to enter. One may serve on the cabinet without being a Member of Knesset.

As such, Yulia Malinovsky will replace Lieberman as a MK for Yisrael Beitenu. The party reports in past years she has been extremely active and successful as a member of the Holon city council, involved in many social issues in the areas of housing, the elderly, sport & culture, and more to the benefit of city residents.
