Speaking to Kol Chai Radio host Mordechai Lavi on Monday morning 22 Iyar, Yaakov Litzman explained “it’s all from above. I am grateful to HKBH for each moment that he assists me”.
Litzman was asked “How did you do it”, seeking to understand how he brought PM Netanyahu and Naftali Bennett together, ending the coalition crisis. Litzman stated once again “I decided by myself this is not a matter that justifies heading to elections so I decided to try to do something”.
Kol Chai:
Was this a matter of the military cabinet secretary of that there is bad blood between them?
Litzman:
Certainly this was an issue of the secretary and we are all aware there is something between them and this too needs to be addressed.
Kol Chai:
So you are going to take this on next?
Litzman:
No, no. I have enough to do and not looking to take this on.
Kol Chai:
Why aren’t you on the Security Cabinet?
Litzman:
Who am I to decide to remain or leave Lebanon, or Operation Protective Edge. I have plenty on my plate regarding my issues. We are present in the Knesset Foreign Affairs & Defense Committee and do not make decisions. It is also part that most of our children do not serve in the IDF and it is not our decision to make. Every area requires an expertise, generals if you will. This is not our area.
