Betar Illit Mayor Meir Rubinstein has contacted the Transportation Ministry seeking additional buses to Meron for Lag B’Omer as there are no tickets available in his city. Bus companies report they have no tickets left and it appears there are thousands of people who wish to visit Meron on Lag B’Omer but cannot purchase a ticket.
Kol Chai Radio reports that it appears someone bought thousands of the subsidized tickets in Betar Illit and is trying to sell them for a profit, scalping the tickets for profit. At this time it is unknown if police are involved.
