Israel’s Fire Service had a second difficult day as the heat-wave which sent temperatures soaring resulted in hundreds of fires around the nation. One fire in the area of Route 44 led to the closure of the roadway between Nachshon Junction and Tauz Junction. There were no injuries reported.

The extremely dry conditions led the fire service to ban lighting any fires outdoors between the hours of 9:00AM – 7:00PM.
