An early morning accident on Rt. 436 near Givon Jct. resulted in a minibus transporting children flipping over. B’chasdei Hashem no one was killed or seriously injured. The accident involving a private vehicle and the minibus occurred between Ramot and Givat Ze’ev.

Ichud Hatzalah Jerusalem responded, reporting some 15 children sustained light injuries, adding the hysteria at the scene was the most difficult aspect of treatment of the little ones. The injuries are described as soft tissue and light bruises.

Some of the children were transported by Magen David Adom to local hospitals for follow-up. MDA reports that a woman about 30, the driver of the car, was listed in moderate condition with an abdominal injury. She was transported to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. In addition, 16 girls ages 7-10 were taken to Shaare Zedek Hospital.

Shaare Zedek reports a total of 17 children were checked and treated in the emergency room, all with light injuries.
