The oppressive heat-wave in Israel continues and EMS organizations continue to warn persons in high-risk groups to be extra cautious.
R”L one man, 70, a Netanya resident, became the first fatality of the extreme weather on Sunday, 7 Iyar. The victim was spending time on the roof of his Ushiskin Street home. Ichud Hatzalah reports its volunteers were summoned to assist the man, who was lifeless upon their arrival. The man was declared dead on the scene and it appears he fell unconscious due to profound heat stroke and dehydration.
