Rishon L’Tzion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shlita in his motzei Shabbos shiur aired on Kol Chai Radio spoke out against the Mishkenos Hatorah Yeshiva headed by HaGaon Rav Ephraim Cohen Shlita for the latter has banned HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef’s ZT”L seforim from the yeshiva.

“Fools who do not permit bringing in the rav’s seforim. I do not understand. There is a yeshiva in Bnei Brak, there is one by the name of Rabbi Ephraim Cohen who does not permit the seforim of the rav in the yeshiva. Why? He gives shiurim and fears they will ask questions, and therefore he removes all of the rav’s seforim, taking them all out – I don’t agree”.

Rav Yosef then mentioned the yeshiva by name, adding, “What fools. What responses are in Yabia Omer? A pleasure. The students are unfortunates and should leave the yeshiva and go to another. There is no shortage today”.

“A Rosh Yeshiva that prevents bochrim from using the rav’s seforim, what will he tell HKBH? What will he tell the Beis Din Shel Maalah? H’ Yerachem. HKBH should bring them back to teshuva”.

Rav Yosef added Ashkenazim do not act this way, citing in Yeshivas Kol Torah one finds all of Maran’s seforim and “davka Sephardim prohibit them” he concluded.
