Media Seeking List Of Those Who Knew About Bridge Closings

chrMedia organizations are asking federal prosecutors to release a list of people who knew about the 2013 lane closures near the George Washington Bridge but weren’t involved.

This week, a judge responded to a media request from organizations including The Associated Press and ordered the government to release a separate list of unindicted co-conspirators.

Bruce Rosen, an attorney for the media organizations, says he has requested a copy of the other list, which was created by federal investigators. He says the organizations will seek a court order to release the document if prosecutors don’t provide it.

Attorneys for two former allies of Republican Gov. Chris Christie charged in the conspiracy have been given both lists. The two are accused of closing lanes near the bridge as political retribution.

A spokesman for prosecutors didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
