Zaka Chief of Operations Yehuda Meshi-Zahav, Rav Chaim Dvir of Zaka’s Vaad Rabbonim and secretary of the vaad Rav Meir Ekar Shai visited with HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita to discuss matters pertaining to kovod hamess.

Meshi-Zahav discussed issues pertaining to dealing with bodies at a large incident as well as matters that are often addressed by Zaka’s legal division. Rav Chaim Dvir explained the different considerations that arise at times in dealing with kovod hamess. The also showed Rav Kanievsky a pamphlet that was released on 7 Adar containing halachic questions and responses.

Rav Kanievsky praised Zaka and its volunteers who are involved in holy work, having responded to the call in the case of מקום שאין איש. Rav Kanievsky gave them a bracha for their continued work.
