Mrs. Marina Fuchs, 86, one of the victims of the Armon HaNatziv stabbing attack on Tuesday 2 Iyar explains the events. She told authorities that after they had been injured by the attackers they saw Arabs nearby, asking them to assist by summoning an ambulance but they left the scene instead.
Fuchs recounted the events and told Channel 10 News she and her friends from the Jerusalem senior citizens home were walking on the path below the Armon HaNatziv promenade when one of her friends shouted “girls, girls run!”
She adds that it only took moments until realizing one of them was on the floor, bleeding from her chest. They then saw a number of Arabs who clean the area nearby, calling on them to assist by summoning an ambulance. She explained that “They made believe they were talking on their phones and left rather than assist”.
The elderly women were going for a morning walk when they were attacked near the Goldman Promenade in Armon HaNatziv, which is in proximity the Ohz district police station. It is reported at least one of the elderly victims is also a Holocaust survivor.
Police reported that “five women in their 70s were walking on the path near the Armon HaNatziv promenade when attack. Two masked youths, apparently Arabs, attacked them from behind. Two women were injured, transported in moderate condition to Shaare Zedek Medical Center with stab wounds. The attackers fled the scene. the search continues.
