Unsettled Weather Again In Forecast For Parts Of Central US

1Springtime storms are continuing their march across the central U.S., with big hail and powerful winds again a concern in some areas.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma, says scattered storms with possible tornadoes are likely Wednesday from parts of north Texas and Oklahoma into the Midwest.

Television station KETV in Nebraska reports that so much hail fell early Wednesday that a car had to be towed from a “hail drift” in Omaha.

All week, storm systems have pelted parts of the country with giant hail and spun up tornadoes, killing two people Monday in Oklahoma and injuring 10 people Tuesday in Kentucky.

The Storm Prediction Center received 231 damage or hail reports Tuesday in an area stretching from Colorado to Virginia, with the most damage concentrated in Kentucky.
