A fire broke out on Memorial Day morning in Terminal 3 in Ben-Gurion International Airport.\The fire reportedly began in a kitchen of one of the eateries.

The smoke detectors immediately activated the fire extinguishing system and the blaze was put out without incident.

Passengers were evacuated from the area until it was declared secure.

The terminal area had to be ‘aired out’ however due to smoke conditions.

It is reported the blaze began in a deep fryer in one of the restaurants.

The fire did result in a delay in departures.
