Ichud Hatzalah and Magen David Adom EMTs and paramedics worked on a toddler who went into cardiac arrest in Bnei Brak after choking while eating. EMS was summoned on Tuesday morning 25 Nissan to Reb Yossi Street in the Torah city only to find a 3-year-old girl unconscious, in cardiac arrest R”L. Family members told EMS responders she choked while eating.
CPR was continued and advanced life support began when paramedics arrived. The toddler was transported by MDA paramedics to a local emergency room in serious/stable condition, with a spontaneous pulse, post-cardiac arrest.
Ichud Hatzalah EMT Aryeh Goldberg explained “According to the family the toddler choked while eating. Yaakov Borer of the ambucycle unit was nearby and first on the scene and he began CPR.
“B”H her spontaneous pulse resumed and she was transported to Schneider Children’s Hospital”.
