Israel’s National Student Council plans to close all public high schools on Tuesday and Wednesday, 25 and 26 Nissan, a protest against the ongoing strike by driving examiners and a slowdown by the Secondary School Teachers Association.
Regarding the driving examiners, that strike has been ongoing for about six weeks and road tests for students to get their driver’s license are cancelled as a result. Regarding the teachers’ association, the latter has announced after Pesach it is stopping extracurricular activities which includes trips and outings.
The strike organizers explain that if by the end of Tuesday, a solution is not proposed, they will continue into Wednesday as planned.
