The Kosel Heritage Foundation reports about 500,000 visitors arrived at the Kosel during Pesach 5776. The foundation increased its presence during yomtov to assist visitors, especially on the second day chol hamoed for Birchas Kohanim, which was attended by 50,000 people.

The Kosel Heritage Foundation adds there was a steady stream of visitors to the Kosel and the Old City during chol hamoed, thanking Israel Police in particular for providing security to maintain calm during Yomtov – especially from the various gates accessing the Old City and the streets leading to and from the Kosel.
