Two Israeli Bedouins were reportedly abducted and later released while in Turkey. The two, cousins, residents of Rahat in southern Israel, are medical students. The families received a ransom demand on Thursday and turned to Israel Police and the Foreign Ministry.
Israel Radio reported the abduction of the two and the ransom demand to their families asking for $200,000 for their safe return. On Shabbos the families were informed the two were released after being held for a number of days and could be found at a Turkish police station. The report states they were released before the ransom was paid.
