Jerusalem Chief Sephardi Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar on Wednesday 12 Nissan visited victims of Arab terror recuperating in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. The hospital also used the opportunity to have Rabbi Amar act as its shaliach for selling its chametz, meeting with Hadassah’s Rabbi Moshe Klein.
During his visit Rabbi Amar was escorted by Rabbi Klein as well as Medical Director Prof. Yoram Weiss.
Hadassah Hospitals: Arrangements for Pesach 5776:
· No one will be permitted to bring any food into the hospital from 12 Nissan until after Pesach.
· As is the case every Shabbos, a non-Jewish guard is stationed at the maternity ward, nursery and delivery rooms.
· All meals served in the hospitals during Pesach are kosher mehadrin and non-kitnios.
· There are mashgichim present in all kitchens from the early morning hours until closing.
· All cooked foods are ‘bishul yisrael’ in line with the Beis Yosef.
· New this year: All dishes are disposable (dairy and meat) toward raising the standard of kashrus on Pesach.
· In the maternity ward, the ingredients are Badatz Eida Chareidis. In the other units of the hospital the ingredients are the various accepted badatz hechsherim in Israel. Those wishing may request Badatz Eida Chareidis.
· All produce are from goyim under the hashgacha of the Eida Chareidis or Badatz Mehadrin (Rabbi Yosef Efrati Shlita).
