Authorities have revealed that the person who is very close to Shas leader Aryeh Deri who has been questioned in the ongoing corruption investigation is Shlomo Deri, a brother of Aryeh. Also questioned was a daughter of Shlomo Deri.
Shlomo Deri, a successful attorney who serves as Deputy CEO of the Jewish National Fund was questioned by police ‘under warning’, which generally signals there is sufficient evidence to move ahead with a criminal indictment.
With the gag order still in place, authorities have permitted the release of a few additional facts, that the investigation surrounds real estate dealings and real estate titles. Police are probing the sale of a plot of land by Aryeh to Shlomo, on which five apartments valued at a combined NIS 15 million were built, homes that are registered in the names of children. Tax Authority officials are also involved in the investigation.
Aryeh Deri going to be questioned in the near future, possibly after Pesach. Yehuda Deri was questioned again Thursday morning 6 Nissan for a third consecutive day.

Well YWN clarified the beginning of the article but there is still a reference at the end to Yehuda Deri having been questioned for a “third consecutive day”. Shlomo Deri is a well known lawyer. Rav Yehuda Deri is the Chief Rabbi of Beer Sheva. Who is being interrogated, Shlomo or Rav Yehuda or both?
