Israel Radio is under fire by Women of the Wall after announcing it will not broadcast advertisements for Birkas Kohanos which is supposed to take place for a first time in the ezras noshim on the first day of chol hamoed Pesach.
In its letter to the organization, Israel Radio explains the words “Birkas Kohanos”, which are controversial, must be removed from the advert calling on supporters to join them at the Kosel.
WoW is surprised at the Israel Radio response, and according to attorney Rikki Shapira Rosenberg, “This is unreasonable intervention in content without any objective reason, which constitutes a violation of freedom of expression and information concerning preventing a solemn public ceremony. This is a simple application to disseminate information to the public regarding future events on chol hamoed Pesach”.

Where does the Torah grant freedom of expression in serving Hashem? Who decides how to serve a master, the servant or the master? But of course, serving Hashem is not what WoW are all about.
