MK Zouheir Bahloul came under fire for his remarks during a Shabbos cultural event in Akko during which he stated he feels the terrorist who stabbed a soldier in Hebron on Purim is not a terrorist. The Arab MK explained that for as long as the target is military, an IDF soldier, then it is no different than members of the Jewish Underground that attacked British soldiers during the British Mandate.
Bahloul, a member of the Machane Tzioni party, will not have to appear before the Knesset Ethics Committee, which has already agreed to convene to discuss Bahloul’s remarks. Likud MK Nava Boker wants Bahloul suspended for she feels his comments are tantamount to “placing a target on the backs of IDF soldiers”.

If they aren’t terrorists, they are soldiers. That means the Palestinian authorities can bed prosecuted for their actions even if they didn’t specifically authorize them (the Tojo precedent from World War II holding that commanders are responsible if those under their command commit war crimes). If one holds these are lawful acts of war, Israel would be fully justifies in counter attacking. If the Israelis were clever, they would get an international court to hold that terrorists who attack soldiers (and civilians) are to be consdier soldiers acting on behalf of their government, rather than as criminals.
the fact is these reshaim say all Jews are “occupiers”, so an attack on anyone r’l won’t be terrorism in their book
