The editorial board of The Boston Globe is using a satirical front page to express its uneasiness with a potential Donald Trump presidency.
The newspaper has printed a satirical front page for its Sunday “Ideas” section. The page is dated April 9, 2017, and features a large photo of Trump below dominant headline that reads “Deportations to Begin.” The accompanying story has Trump calling on Congress to fund a deportation program amid protests.
Another article focuses on a plunging stock market. Some jokes are included, such as a mention of Yellowstone National Park being renamed for Trump.
In an editorial, the Globe calls the satire “an exercise in taking a man at his word.”
The Trump campaign didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Many major newspapers that used to known for objective reporting are now known for being partisan rags. The only exception is the Wall Street Journal which it appears took the occasion of the establishment papers giving up journalism to switch from being a financial newspaper to being a general newspaper devoted to traditional objective news coverage.
why doesn’t everybody just leave Trump alone? would this country prefer a clinton, a known liar, a to-be indicted felon, who would prefer to have our borders wide open to conform to our “values”? Trump might be a “radical meshugina”, but that’s far better to what hillary (or sanders) has to offer us. how can anyone disagree with that?
@chaiml, I used to think like you, but this idea that Trump has all but secured the nomination is very very far from the truth. The incompetence of the “very good brains, the best and smartest people” that are running his campaign have left this race wide open. He will almost certainly not reach 1237 and he certainly will not win on a second ballot, paving the way for a Cruz nomination. And that’s far better than what Trump has to offer. How can anyone disagree with that? Especially since every single poll shows Cruz beating Clinton and Trump losing to Clinton (badly).
Akuperma, newspapers have always run editorials which make no claim to be unbiased. The Boston Globe’s imagined front page is connected to such an editorial. Take a look at it — it’s quite scary and funny at the same time.
