The following is via WABC:
An Orthodox Jewish man was slashed on a NoHo subway platform in a possibly random attack Friday morning.
The victim, in his 50s, was slashed in the neck and hand on the No. 6 platform of the Bleecker Street station at Lafayette Street just before 3:30 a.m.
He is in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital.
The victim was wearing traditional Hasidic clothing and is believed to be from Israel. He was spotted by passersby walking up the subway steps, bleeding from his wrists.
The suspect fled the scene and no arrests have been made.
Detectives brought in K9s to search for evidence and pinpoint the location of the attack.
The investigation is ongoing. Due to the investigation, southbound No. 6 subways are bypassing Bleecker in both directions.
In January, a 71-year-old woman was slashed on a train as a suspect approached the Bleecker Street station. She sustained a non-life threatening injury.

“. . . southbound No. 6 subways are bypassing Bleecker in BOTH DIRECTIONS.” Southbound trains apparently now travel North as well. עולם הפוך ראיתי
These slash and run are just the new knockout game by blacks but the media does not go there. Every slasher has been black victims are of all races.
What in the world was he doing on a subway platform at 3:30 in the morning?
Not that I’m excusing it, but my goodness! Talk about taking a chance!
“Orthodox Jewish Man Stabbed In Random NYC Subway Attack”
Was this headline written by our esteemed president?
Apparently he is an Israeli visitor to NY, got lost on the way to visit friends, and speaks only Yiddish. I came to the site hoping to find an update that Bikur Cholim or another organization has connected with him and are taking care of him. I know the Israeli Consulate has become involved.
This story sounds unusual besides the horrific crime itself, because most Chassidic visitors to our city are usually among friends and family. Whatever is the story of this poor fellow, I hope he will be looked after on Shabbat and that he feels safe after this terrible ordeal.
