Rishon L’Tzion: The Chief Rabbinate’s Influence Abroad is Greater than in Israel

icrRishon L’Tzion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shlita during a meeting of the Chief Rabbinate Council stated that the Chief Rabbinate of Israel has an influence both in Israel and the Diaspora but he believes that today, that influence is greater outside of Israel.

The rav told his colleagues they must take advantage of this standing and bring Torah to the multitudes abroad and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel must express its opinion on matters in Israel so that this opinion is made known around the world.

He concluded with a bracha, that they will all merit the Siyata Dishmaya to be MeKadesh Shem Shomayim publicly towards spreading Torah far and wide.

  1. We tragically saw this with our very own eyes this week, when the supreme court had the audacity to ignore the Pesak of the Chief Rabbis to let Meir Edinger attend his son’s Beris.
