A five-alarm fire burned through a commercial building in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn.
The one-story building on Parkside Avenue went up in flames just before midnight on Sunday.
Fire officials say the flames may have been gas fed.
The building houses Greenfield catering company with a commercial kitchen.
The building is next to a Church. Parishioners were able to save some things from inside the church.
It took 250 firefighters several hours to get the blaze under control.
The flames were so intense that at one point they had to back everyone out of the building and fight the fire from overhead.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
