Mrs. Moriah Ettinger, whose husband Meir has been held in solitary confinement under administrative detention since August 2015 calls on Rishon L’Tzion HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Yosef Shlita to assist in having Meir released to attend the bris of their son on Monday, 25 Adar-II.
In the letter, Mrs. Ettinger explains the bris is Monday and her husband has yet to me their child as he remains in administrative detention.
She added “As it appears, the father of the child will not be home for the coming two months but I am not turning to you regarding this. My request, to not remain idle and act to permit my husband attend the bris of our son! It is not acceptable that in the State of Israel a father is not permitted to perform a bris on his son!”

And how did the Chief Rabbis respond?
Chief Rabbi Lau Shlita sent a request to the commander of the jail where the young man is incarcerated, without charge let alone conviction. Of course it was ignored. The great zionist enterprise in action.
Yosef said “yes, if it can be done with no threat to security”…..no answer from Lau (who wisely stays out of these types of political circuses)
