Gas prices throughout Israel will increase 30 agorot a liter on Thursday night from NIS 5.54 to NIS 5.84 at midnight, the eve of 22 Adar-II. This means the cost of a US gallon in dollars on Friday morning after the hike will be $6.17 based on the Bank of Israel closing exchange rate of NIS 1= $3.78 on Wednesday, 20 Adar-II.
The additional 19 agorot per liter fee for full service remains the same. The price quoted is for self-service.
So, if you are pained by the price of fuel at the pumps in N. America, come fill up a vehicle in Jerusalem and realize what ‘expensive’ really is.

Thieves. There is a fraudulent govt. system in place to ensure a constantly rising stream of funds from the mostly low-class citizens of Israel. This is not a percentage based tax, but a spiraling prime-rate which perpetuates itself. The same gas which cost more per barrel 10 years ago now costs 50% more for no real reason. Ingenious and ruinous.
