Jerusalem district mounted police responded to a request to help to fulfill a dream of an 8-year-old boy. According to a police spokesman’s report, the request came from an employee of a Jerusalem hotel where the child, who is battling cancer, is staying with his family.
Mounted police were pleased to accommodate the special request and they responded to the hotel on horseback. The family and the boy were more than a bit surprised when they were called outside. They remove the boy’s blindfold and he was amazed to see the horses waiting for him.
The policemen explained how they work and all of their gear as well as the horses. They took the boy inside the trailer used to transport the horses, explaining the life and care involved for police horses.
