Mrs. Yaffa Deri on Wednesday morning released the statement “We overcame Pharaoh and Haman and we will get through this too” in reference to the announced police probe into her husband, Shas party leader Aryeh Deri.

Mrs. Deri addressed reporters who were gathered outside the couple’s Har Nof building.

Deri’s media advisor Barak Sari told Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) “Minister Deri told Amit Segal that he hasn’t an idea what he is talking about and he is not aware of any probe against him by police. We haven’t the slightest clue – a total surprise”.

Segal is the Channel 2 correspondent who broke the story of the ongoing probe against Deri.
