Villagers in the PA (Palestinian Authority) community of Duma were quick to yell “arson” in the latest fire in that community, in the home being used by Ibrahim Darawshe. There have even been allegations the fire was not just arson by Jews, but an attempt to kill Darawshe, who in essence is the only living adult witness to the first attack which killed members of his family.

Police are now announcing that the investigation does point to arson, but not arson from Jews as is alleged by villagers. Police feel that the evidence at the scene does not jibe with statements from residents, which in many cases conflict with one another, and investigators do not believe this was a nationalist crime as was the case in the first attack.
