The Israel Police Yiftach District spokesman released an interesting case to the media in which the operator of an electric bicycle had his license revoked for 30 months for doing so while intoxicated.

The incident occurred on February 19, 2016, an erev Shabbos at night when police in that area are out looking for drunk drivers. They were on Shvelah Street at the intersection of Menachem Begin Street when they spotted the young man operating the electric bicycle.

When asked to take a breathalyzer he registered quite drunk, almost three times the legal limit. He was brought to a traffic court and his license suspended for 30 months.
