Security Incident at Ben-Gurion Inspection Station


bgaPolice and Airport Authority officials’ responding to rumors of a possible terror attack at the security inspection area for cars entering Ben-Gurion Airport report there was no attack. The incident in question occured on Monday 11 Adar-II close to noon.

Police explain during the inspection of vehicles entering the airport, two persons were about to be checked when one opened a door and fled. The two are residents of the “eastern capital”, indicating they are Arabs.

Police began a chase after the fleeing suspect and a chopper was ordered into the air.

  1. I am a little confused. The article says the incident occurred close to noon but the byline is 09:30am. Was the suspect captured or neutralized or is there a possibly armed terrorist running around? People with nothing to hide or fear do not run off when stopped at security checkpoints.
