Loose translation of the letter:
1. My condition is already known to many and I would like to thank the many who have been mispallel on my behalf.
2. Many ask me how to be mechazeik, and each person should act as he sees fit.
3. All who derive benefit from my shiurim and schmoozen in yeshiva, it would bring me nachas ruach if you were mechazeik and listen to Kaddish Drabbonon with kavona and respond amen without any interruption for speaking or engaging in any act such as folding up ones tefilin and the like.
4. To take care not to criticize one who is not fulfilling this, only a rav acts this way to his talmid.
Hoping for Rachmei Shomayim and the Geula Shleima
Yaakov Edelstein.

A refuah shelamah. When one reads such simple yet elegant words of chizuk on such a basic concept it reminds us all of the strength of gadoylei yisorel at such times of personal challenge.
A real genuine godol. “each person should act as he sees fit” and “take care not to criticize one who is not fulfilling this”
