Chief Rabbi of Ramat HaSharon HaGaon HaRav Yaakov ben Miriam Edelstein Shlita has been ill. On motzei Shabbos he released a letter of chizuk and hisorarus to the tzibur.

Text of the letter written on motzei Shabbos Vayikra 5776:

בסד

מוצאי שבת ויקרא תשעו

א. כבר ידוע לרבים מצבי, ואני הזקוק לפרקליטין, מביע תודה ויישר כח, לכל אחד שמתפלל ומתחזק באיזה דבר.

ב. הרבה שאלוני במה להתחזק, ובאמת כל אחד מה שיראה רצוי.

ג. ולכל מי שקיבל תועלת מהשיעורים והשיחות בישיבות שלימדתי שם, יהיה לי נחת רוח אם יתחזק, וישמע בכוונה את קדיש דרבנן, ואמן, בלי להפסיק בדיבור או באיזו פעולה, כגון קיפול התפילין וכד’.

ד. להיזהר לא להעיר הערות למי שאינו מקיים, רק רב לתלמיד ינהג כחכמתו.

Loose translation of the letter:

1. My condition is already known to many and I would like to thank the many who have been mispallel on my behalf.

2. Many ask me how to be mechazeik, and each person should act as he sees fit.

3. All who derive benefit from my shiurim and schmoozen in yeshiva, it would bring me nachas ruach if you were mechazeik and listen to Kaddish D’rabbonon with kavona and respond amen without any interruption for speaking or engaging in any act such as folding up one’s tefilin and the like.

4. To take care not to criticize one who is not fulfilling this, only a rav acts this way to his talmid.
