As part of Israel Police preparations for Purim, there is a crackdown on locating illegal fireworks ahead of the day to prevent injuries or worse on Purim.

In one operation on erev Shabbos 8 Adar-II, a large quantity of fireworks was found in a Tel Aviv apartment.

According to the police spokesman’s report, the couple in the apartment purchased the fireworks in Sharon area and sold them to children in their community.

The couple, 42 and 41-years-old, were detained by police for question. Bomb squad technicians were dispatched to the apartment to remove the fireworks.
