Police say a 15-year-old student has been arrested after he took a loaded gun to his New York City high school.
The New York Times reports that the boy is accused of taking a .38-caliber revolver to York Early College Academy in Queens on Thursday.
It was the second incident this week involving a loaded gun at a school.
Police said an 11-year-old boy brought a loaded 9-millimeter pistol to school in his backpack on Tuesday.
The 11-year-old’s grandfather was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
Police did not identify the 15-year-old in the latest incident.
A spokeswoman for the city Department of Education called the incident “deeply alarming.”
Police say four guns have been seized at New York City schools this school year.
