Chassidim of Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto Shlita davened shachris on Monday morning 4 Adar-II outside Nitzan Prison where Rabbi Pinto is serving his sentence.
Supporters of the rav decried what they call the “cruel conditions”, aware the rav, who is battling cancer, has deteriorated significantly since imprisoned. Rav Pinto announced last month he is not going to continue chemotherapy any longer due to the hardships associated with the travel to and from prison for the treatments.
Followers of the rav call on the tzibur around the world to be mispallel for Yoshiyahu Yosef ben Zohari bsoch sha’ar cholei yisrael.

No more proof of how cruel the Israeli authorities are is needed further than to look at how Rabbi Pinto is being treated. And all Aryeh Deri can busy himself with is making pritzus on the beaches free. Of all people, a convicted criminal himself who spent years in jail, he should be battling for Rabbi Pinto.
