A three-year-old girl was seriously injured on motzei Shabbos the eve of 3 Adar-II when she fell from her third-story apartment in on Haganah Street in Petach Tikvah. A neighbor on the first floor reported hearing a child crying outside her window on the roof of stores below and saw the injured girl.
Ichud Hatzalah and MDA responded to the scene along with fire rescue. The young child was transported to Beilinson Hospital with multisystem trauma. According to a preliminary police report, the father and a son headed to the hospital after not feeling well and a relative was summoned to watch the 3-year-old, who fell before the relative arrived.
It appears the child who was injured awakened after dad left and she wondered around before the babysitter arrived. The father was placed under arrest and released following question to permit him to care for his two children whom are hospitalized.

Before everyone starts screaming about neglect – it happened to my daughter & I was right there in the kitchen! BH she was perfectly fine, but I still relive the horror.
Having said that, there is no mention of mom. It seems from the article Dad has sole responsibility and he probably couldn’t weigh up all the consequences: if I take Yankel, Yenta is alone. If I don’t take him, he could get very ill…. etc etc. Sounds like he tried. Refuah Shleima to both kids.
