During his weekly motzei Shabbos shiur, Sephardi Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef explained it is a mitzvah to kill a terrorist armed with a knife and one should not fear IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gadi Eizenkott or the Supreme Court. He added that once a terrorist is neutralized, one should place him under arrest.

The rav explained it is a mitzvah to killed a terrorist armed with a knife, ‘הבא להורגך השכם להורגו’, stating this will also serve as a deterrent for a terrorist will realize if he sets out to perpetrate an attack, he will not return.

Once the terrorist is unarmed or neutralized then he should be restrained and incarcerated for the rest of his life, until Moshiach comes the rav explained, adding once Moshiach has arrived we will be able to determine who Amalek is and then he will be killed if required.
