Magen David Adom announces that in addition to operating on higher alert in areas of Yehuda and Shomron as Arab terror continues, it is opening a course to train female EMTs who will also be certified to drive MDA ambulances.
All participants in the course, 25 women, are residents of area communities. The initiative is a joint effort by MDA and the Gush Etzion Regional Council.
MDA and the regional council feel the women will give a significant boost to the areas EMS response capabilities.
