Mendy Rivkin was injured in a terrorist attack in Givat Ze’ev over a month ago. His stab wounds sustained in the attack were quite serious.

B’chasdei Hashem he has since been discharged from Shaare Zedek Medical Center and getting back to his life. On motzei Shabbos Vayakel he held a seudas hodayah to acknowledge his hakoras hatov to HKBH for his recovery.

Mendy was attacked as his wife looked on with horror. The two were heading to a store in the gas station at Givat Ze’ev when an Arab attacker came up from behind and began stabbing Mendy.

Family, friends and rabbonim from the Chabad kehilla in Givat Ze’ev were among those taking part in the seuda on motzei Shabbos. It is reported the family decided to make the seuda on motzei Shabbos mevorchim Adar-2 because after the terror attack they turned to Igros Kodesh for guidance and a bracha for a refuah and were guided to hold the seuda at the time they selected, a time we begin increasing our simcha.
